The 3M projector integrates a high density of technology, heat management and operability into a compact, handy object for use in educational institutions. Folded down to the size of a briefcase for transport, it is no larger and no heavier than comparable portable devices – yet unfolded it delivers one and a half times the brightness and resolution.
The air outlet runs along the entire length of the lower shell – cooling as a design element. Optics and LCD display are mechanically released and raised in a single operating step. The S-shaped parting line of the shells and the cylindrically emphasised hinge make the unfolding semantically legible – form and function communicate the same message.
